Our twins arrived a little earlier than planned at 32 weeks. The drama is long which all started on all days Friday the 13th of June. The twins arrived the 17th of June. They finally came home the 12th of July. Four weeks of my like which are a total blurr. Days that you can't fully understand unless you have experienced them yourself. Our babies were two of the healthier babies in the NICU and I just can't imagine those poor parents and babies who have to spend months there. It all started on that Friday or actually I guess the day before, my regular appointment which was my 8th week in a row to go to. My how things are different when you're carrying twins. Anyway everything was going great she even called me her best patient carrying twins, all 117 lbs of me at 7 months with twins. LOL She told me , "See you in a week." Little did we know it was going to be sooner than that. We had planned to deliver July 18th at 36 weeks, but obviously the twins had other things in mind. On Friday I began having contractions. The first one I thought nothing of because I had been having them for a few weeks. But then came another and another, this is when I sent a text to my husband. He replied that not good, keep an eye on them. To which I replied, U think?!? Obviously they didn't stop and did not stop until I had the twins. No matter what they tried which by the way was 3 different meds. I stayed in Texarkana from Friday to Monday. On Monday when by doctor knew these twins were coming and they were not equipped to care for 32 weekers at that hospital I was shipped by ambulance to Little Rock. Baptist was my choice because I had seen Dr. Chatelain twice for 2nd level ultrasounds and I knew he would deliver me and that the hospital had a good NICU. Dr. Chatelain told us my labor began because I had pneumonia, which of course was decided after I had been poked on in every vein and 2 arteries in my body. I had now developed a fever and it was decided delivery was the best option. Emotions were through the roof Jeffrey was extremely nervous for me and the babies. The babies arrived at 5:12pm and 5:14 pm. Carlee first then Kalee. They looked great and both cried immediately. Thus our adventure began and has not stopped since. Let the good times began....
